The girl I dated in High School lived in a building with the numbers “222″. Until this day  I  constantly see the number mostly on odometers and clocks. I was never under the delusion that this was some cosmic sign that she was the girl for me but the number stuck and I associate that number with her for the most part. About two years ago I posted something on a blog that referenced this and she happened to come across it. She e-mailed me, I e-mailed her back and that was it. However, “222″ continues to be a  constant presence in my life. I consider her a part of my past.

After years on the internet I never even considered googling “constantly seeing numbers 222″. Today at 2.22pm I stopped procrastinating and came across this site. I am not a religious person at all and I don’t buy into the Angel/ righteous path stuff. I am a good person, my vices aren’t out of control and  people generally agree with me on those two points. Luckily “222″ hasn’t driven me crazy.

I have a feeling that I am somehow “biologically in tune” with the number. So today I am going to start an experiment. I set my watch 2:22pm. This will go off everyday. I am curious to see if I check my watch before it goes off or if it will “take me by surprise” everyday.  I post updates in the comments of this post.

I’m 19 years old, my name is Michael.

Around the time I started high school back in 2002 (two 2’s separated by two 0’s) I started noticing I was seeing the number 222 everywhere I looked, and I wasn’t looking for it. I’d see it at the grocery store – items costing $2.22, or I’d look at the clock in the afternoon or early in the morning and I would always catch it at 2:22. I started to get paranoid and I told my family and friends, who dismissed it as coincidence. It’s been six years now and I still see it almost daily in the most random of places – strangers’ screen names, my great aunt’s room key, etc. I have been trying to find information on the subject for some time, hoping to find anything but always came up short. I’ve never bought into things such as the number 23 phenomena, but this 222 thing is too much for me to overlook.

I always figured I was the only one who noticed this as nobody else ever made mention of it, and for years I had simply figured, if anything, it would be the time or date of the day I die, get married, or experience some other momentous life (or death) event. Tonight I tried one more time and this board popped up in the Google search engine. I got chills reading the things others had posted.

I wonder could this truly be some form of warning, prophecy or miracle, or is it perhaps just a number with mathematical probabilities on its side?

I’m not much for superstition but I think there’s something at play here, although a big part of me hopes I am just trying to be dramatic and am buying into some sort of conspiracy theory, that way I can ignore any greater importance behind the number. Ego is hopefully all it is, but I remain skeptical.

At any rate, I had to join and post to let the records show that there is at least one more person noticing these coincidences. I’d be willing to bet there are only about 222 of us around the world who notice it…
