Another 222 personPosted by dabstone
Hi,
I’ve been seeing the number 222 since my mid-teens (late 70’s and 80’s) and it started with me waking up and looking at the clock and it would be 2:22. It seems as if this happened for a while then went away until around 5 years ago when I started seeing 222, especially when looking at the clock at home or in my car. I have googled 222 in the past. What made me google it tonight and find this site? I was looking at the website city-data.com which has discussion forums about different cities. I was looking at pictures someone posted in the San Antonio forum (where my father moved to and I’ve been wanting to move to for years) and one of the houses in a picture had the address 222. “Come on now”, I said to myself, “this is getting ridiculous!” I’ve thought about if it’s bad, good, the Mayan calendar theory (Dec 12, 2012) someone else mentioned. I was elated to find this site with other people who have the same phenomena (and kindof “jealous” that others do see 222 and it’s not my special number!). Take care,
dabstone

The occurencesPosted by Jessica
I don’t know how to begin because it all sounds crazy, but I believe it’s all true. 222 is a number that occurs in my life more than it should. I don’t recall when I first consciously realized the issue and then started watching for it, but that point happened probably a few years ago. I used to get freaked out about seeing 222 in normal places like vehicle license plates and in phone numbers, but I’ve since quit caring about such small occurrences because they happen all the time (we’re talking 3 times a day on average for small occurrences that i no longer care about, and once to twice a day for larger and harder to explain occurrences that i take mental note of).
222 is the random hotel me and my former girlfriend were assigned when I was visiting her family during college and we wanted to have a night alone.
222 is the apartment number of my college friend who is now in law school at Villanova.
222 is the amount in change I get at Subway when I order my longtime favorite, the Italian B.M.T. combo and pay with a 10 dollar bill.
222 is the address of the law firm I will be working at this summer, Jones Day New York (you can look this up online)
222 is the route of the bus that goes by my neighborhood in Tulsa. I know because after driving home, I was 20 seconds away from turning into my home neighborhood and pulled up behind a bus, it listed ‘222′ and I researched to discover that’s the route running past my house. (222 Tulsa Transit line, you can look this up online, East Pine Place)
222 was the number of a flight I was on a year ago that I felt uncomfortable being on because I had begun noticing the number (today I would never have boarded, but back then I wasn’t as worried). 5 minutes before take off the captain came on and said there was a problem sealing the cargo door and we were delayed 30 minutes. The flight was uneventful after that, but unique nonetheless because of the mechanical problem.
222 is the number of the hotel room my mother was randomly assigned to when she visited me in Philadelphia.
222 is the mile marker in Tennessee on I-40 going west, home to Tulsa, that I was traveling on. I now pay attention to mile marker 222 and cross myself (I’m catholic) when i drive that mile. During this mile, which last perhaps 1 minute of a 15 hour drive home, my iPod stopped playing a playlist and jumped to another playlist and started playing that. My iPod has never skipped before or after. It’s ran out of power a few times, but never skipped. It did here, during mile marker 222 after I had made the sign of the holy cross (and no, while making the sign i didn’t accidentally bump my ipod or jiggle something to cause it to skip).
222 is part of the fake “house number” in the movie “Disturbia” that I recently fell in love with and watched for two weeks as background noise while I did my homework (you can look this up online, the house number is 4222 Disturbia Lane)
222 is the number of the fake house in “office space,” one of my favorite movies.
222 is my current roommate’s favorite channel because it’s the High-Definition version of his favorite channel Fox.
222 is the “number of people possibly attending” an event I’m going to in Pittsburgh this weekend. It’s listed on Facebook.com as the Leprechaun Bar Crawl under “events.”
This is just a small list of the encounters I’ve had with 222 that I can pull off the top of my head after a long day. I have literally had dozens of other encounters with 222 that are substantial. And countless insubstantial encounters (friends phone numbers, license plates in front of me, digit clock displays).
