222 has been with me since ~1996. It started one afternoon whilst traversing a parking lot on foot. A vehicle with the license plate ending in 222 cut me off while walking. Not 10 minutes later I was standing in the office of my attending physician waiting to meet him. I turned my head to look at his medical diploma on the wall (I believe that it contained 5 digits including the 222). The first patient I saw that afternoon either weighed 222 pounds or had a birth day of 2/22…I cannot remember exactly. When I got home and opened my mail my phone bill was $22.22. The next morning while waiting to get a haircut I picked up a magazine and randomly opened it- not to page 222, but to an article about a restaurant 222 in N.Y.C.
I have these flurries of 222 sightings in that I might not see the number for several months (or I might just see it once a day) but then I’ll see it 4 or 5 or 6 times over a relatively short period of time (perhaps 12-24 hours).
One time as a medical student while I was walking home from the hospital downtown Toronto I looked up at an L.E.D. sign at 2:22 a.m. which then flashed “Jesus loves you”. That was the first and last time that I had ever seen that on that sign. Now, although I was raised Roman Catholic, I haven’t been a regular church attendee for more than 15 years. My spiritual beliefs are more in line with those of the Baha’i who believe in the oneness of all religions…essentially they believe (my understanding, you can correct me if I am wrong) that Jesus, Mohammed, and other preceding ”prophets” were essentially incarnations or messengers of the same universal message.
I have encountered this “phenomenon” in concert with my former wife. Very uncharacteristically of me (I was always one to analyze to death any potential major life decisions) I intuitively made a huge decision to move in with her after only 3 dates and one weekend spent together. We moved to Montreal. We had an area that we preferred and behold, while looking through the newspaper classified section for housing for rent, this area was numbered 222 (Our address was to be 4422). To me it was in fact a signpost that I was exactly where I needed to be in life at that time. Interestingly, when we were looking at a hotel for my out of town relatives to stay in we were shown room 222 in the hotel of interest.
I have also experienced looking at my car odometer at 222, clocks at 222, and awakening from sleep at 2:22 a.m. During one particular flurry event I had a patient of mine announce “Dr., last night I awoke at 2:22 for some reason…can you believe that Dr.?”….THAT was just plain weird.
Another odd coincidence this past summer…I went to visit my uncle up near Hunstville as we would embark on a one week canoe/fishing trip to Algonquin Park. To my amazement that uncle was living at 222 Lakeview. The trip was a bit of a bonding experiece between us as we hadn’t gone on a similiar trip for ~30 years, and in addition, his wife of 46 years had recently left him. Anyhow, I queried him as to whether the number 222 had any special significance for him and he replied that yes in fact it did. He did not have recurrent 222 sightings, but the house address that he grew up in in Toronto was in fact 222.
I have not noticed that I am in any particular emotional state during these flurries other than possibly having a bit of uncertainty regarding decisions that I have made at the time, or are contemplating to make. Never has anything harmful nor beneficial happened as a prelude to or consequence of the sightings. I believe that my 222 sightings are signposts that I am in fact following the path of my intuitive self, despite the seeming lack of security associated with that path or choice (the courage to lose sight of the shore, in order to discover new seas). Actually, I suppose that I do recieve a sense of peace or reassurance after these sightings, when they are temporally associated with my decision-making process. I have noticed that the flurries are not as frequent as they have been in the past. I believe this is due to the fact that I have become much more attuned to my intuition, and thus do not need the 222 sightings to reinforce that I am choosing correctly.
It should be noted that I don’t see any other triplicate numbers on a regular basis. BTW the 11:11 people seem to be a much larger cohort than the 222ers
